Youth Outreach Program

The K2C program provides every kindergarten student with a special account that will continue to grow over a child’s K-12 school years. These accounts will help children start saving money for their future career training or college expenses.
Collaborative Initiatives

The Lakeshore Employer Resource Network of Mason County is a partnership between United Way of Mason County, ten local employers, and West Shore Bank. Managed by United Way, LERN Helps employers improve retention and productivity by supporting employees.
A resource Coach works on-site weekly and is available remotely to help employees overcome barriers to success, connect to services, access limited financial assistance, and apply for bridge or transportation loans. United Way also convenes monthly meetings with HR leaders to share updates and feedback.

2-1-1 is a free, FCC-designated service that connects individuals to health and human services 24/7 by phone, text, or live chat. Led by United Way Worldwide and the Michigan Association of United Ways, the service is administered regionally by United Way of Mason County, which has served as fiscal agent since 2009 for six counties.
