The current design of our health and human services system is very complex and difficult for the average person to navigate and understand.   With the availability of 2-1-1, individuals from Mason County are able to make just one call to locate needed health and human services.

United Way of Mason County is committed to creating long-lasting change by addressing the underlying causes of our community’s most critical issues – children succeeding, individuals and families becoming financially stable and people living a healthy lifestyle.  When we put all three of these pieces together, we create the foundation of opportunity for everyone in our community.

In 2016, the United Way of Mason County Board of Directors, staff, volunteers and key partners completed an assessment of the organization by reviewing its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, which guided the development of a Strategic Plan. This plan is a flexible, living document that will guide the organization over the next 3 years.

When you make a donation through United Way of Mason County 98.5% of every $1.00 that you contribute will stay right here in our community. Your United Way is about focusing on the BIG PICTURE and working to tackle the source of Mason County’s toughest challenges – not just the symptoms. For many years, we have just focused on Band-Aid solutions and it’s not working…

United Way of Mason County tackles the causes, not just the symptoms of our community’s toughest challenges. We achieve this by bringing together people with passion, expertise, and resources who want to make a difference in Mason County. Our focus is to help children succeed, work with individuals and families to be financially stable and improve people’s health. It’s the idea that each of these areas are interconnected and when one weakens it impacts the quality of life for our entire community.

MISSION: Mobilize the caring power of individuals and organizations to strengthen our community.
