United Way of Mason County ended it's 2011/2012 fiscal year reaching 99% of it $352,011.00 campaign goal. Pledges totaled $348,369.00.
“We are very humbled by the generosity of the Mason County community and their willingness to give back," stated Steve and Sue Brown, campaign co-chairs.
"It was a real honor to be able to serve as co-chairs of this year's United Way of Mason County campaign. Our success could have not happened without the combined efforts of over 100 volunteers and thousands of individuals and business making a financial contribution," the Browns added.
More than 98% of the dollars raised will stay right here in Mason County and awarded to a wide range of local programs that are addressing our community’s most critical issues. This includes assisting individuals and families in becoming financially stable, teaching people to have a healthier lifestyle and helping children to become successful.
